Today's Commentary by Josh Hinds:
A funny thing happened to me yesterday. I went into
a convenience store, one that I regularly patronize.
While paying for my purchase I dropped off a few
business cards by the register. The store clerk
picked one of them up and looked at it. As I was
leaving, she said, "Josh, how is that every time you
come in here you are always so happy?"
I have to admit that this was an awkward question to
be asked. Without even thinking I said, "I guess
because it just beats the alternative," and smiled.
Then as I was driving home I began to ponder this
event a bit more.
I now realize that whether we know it or not, we are
constantly making an impression on others. I would
hate to think that someone might consider me to be
grumpy or even worse, unhappy!
By sharing the happiness we feel about ourselves, we
have a unique opportunity to impact those around us.
It kinda' reminds me of that song "let your little
light shine:-).
I hope that you will always make a conscious effort
to influence those around you positively!...
