Smoky Mountains Organic Gardening Club
An informal network of friends and acquaintances who garden organically for our own tables. We believe that widespread organic gardening can preserve the health of our environment and our economy, even as it preserves our own health and the health of our families. To help people benefit we offer a number of co-operative services to each other, such as sharing seed, offering classes in organic techniques, canning parties, and this website where we can share ideas. We are currently concentrating on bringing members' home gardens to full production and developing barter arrangements for labor and materials. Our goal is to bring each household as close as possible to producing all of its vegetable needs. We also want to produce surplus vegetables to be distributed to hungry families in the region and to encourage all gardeners to do the same.

The primary purpose of these articles is to eliminate the repetitive nature of answering the same questions over and over every year on various gardening forums. You can go to one URL (this one) and get most if not all of the answers to your gardening questions. This website contains NO advertising and takes into account the needs of children doing school work, as well as the visually impaired.
