Hello:
Do you know the story of Wally Amos, the "Famous
Amos®" cookie man?
Wally got started baking cookies in his home to
share with his friends. In 1975 he perfected his
special recipe for what he called "the ultimate
chocolate chip cookie" and started his own company.
He made the commitment from the outset to use only
the best ingredients.
These homemade-tasting cookies were so special that
they got famous just by word of mouth. True cookie
lovers couldn't wait to get their hands on them. In
just a few years Wally's cookie business grew into a
national corporation.
Today you'll find Wally's chocolate chip cookies sold
in grocery stores all over America. People love them.
They buy them like crazy. And Wally is a rich man.
A chocolate chip cookie is a chocolate chip cookie,
right? Wrong! As Wally says, "It takes heart to make
a great cookie."
It takes "heart" to make a great ezine, a great
product, or whatever it is that you love to do.
You (the business owner) may be doing the same thing
everybody else is doing, but if you're doing it in
an original way that distinguishes you from all the
rest, then you're letting your *own* light shine
through your business. And people notice that.
Wally Amos showed what could be accomplished with
something as simple as a chocolate chip cookie. He
put his heart (his own light) into the recipe and
created something special that people bought and
enjoyed in great numbers. So too can you, with what
you love to do.
Don't think that you have to follow the crowd or
the "gurus" to succeed. Let your own light shine!
